New Ph.D. Student Zackery Rago Joins The Lab!

Zack comes to the Madin Lab from Colorado. He received his bachelor’s degree in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2014. The past 6 years of his career has been focused on the design and implementation of innovative marine technologies, science communications and extensive field work for the production of the Netflix documentary Chasing Coral. Zack’s interests include novel technologies as marine conservation tools as well as coral reef ecology, coral taxonomy and climate impacts on coral reefs.  He brings a decade of experience working with advanced marine aquaria and we are excited to see how he applies his skill set to his work and research at HIMB.
