New Ph.D. Student Annie Innes-Gold Joins The Lab!
Annie is originally from Northampton, MA and will be finishing her M.S. in Ecology and Ecosystem Sciences at the University of Rhode Island (URI) in the Humphries Lab. She is interested in human interactions with the marine environment as well as the use of quantitative ecology to inform ecosystem-based management. For her master’s research, Annie uses ecosystem and agent-based modeling methods to study fisheries tradeoffs in Narragansett Bay, RI. Prior to her attendance at URI, she studied biology and anthropology at Vassar College, and previously worked at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, and Reef Environmental Education Foundation. We’re excited to have her as part of the lab whereby her skills and talents will be a great addition to our team. Welcome aboard!
