Annie Innes-Gold wins Volterra award for Best Theoretical Ecology talk
Nice one, Annie! PhD Candidate Annie Innes-Gold recently attended the Ecological Society of America Conference in Long Beach, CA where she presented her talk titled “Biotic and abiotic drivers of reef halo dynamics” and was selected as the winner of the Volterra award for best student talk in theoretical ecology.
The work she presented included a long-term field study using artificial reefs to study seasonal halo size fluctuations as well as a theoretical modeling exploration of how temperature can affect halo dynamics. Stay tuned for more on this work!
