PhD student Annie Innes-Gold awarded NOAA Fisheries-Sea Grant Fellowship

PhD student Annie Innes-Gold was recently awarded the NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service – Sea Grant Fellowship in Population and Ecosystem Dynamics to support her research for the next three years.  This fellowship program supports students interested in careers related to marine ecosystem and population dynamics, with a focus on modeling and managing marine resources. Specifically, her proposed work titled “Where people meet the sea: how do climate change, resource management, and biocultural restoration drive fish population and fisheries dynamics in the Indo-Pacific?” will use simulation modeling to explore fish and fisheries responses to multiple, interactive drivers while collaborating with local and regional agencies including the Division of Aquatic Resources, The He'eia National Estuarine Research Reserve, Paepae o He'eia, and the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center. We are so grateful to NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service and Sea Grant for this funding and opportunity!
