New postdoc Catherine Foley joins the lab!
Catherine Foley has just arrived this week as a new postdoc in the lab! Catherine comes from New York, where she recently finished her PhD at Stony Brook University in the Lynch Lab for Quantitative Ecology. Catherine’s interests are in applied spatial and conservation ecology with a concentration in environmental policy and management. Her Ph.D. work focused on developing methods to quantify human impacts on populations of subantarctic penguins and seals using remote imaging and geospatial tools. She’s a licensed drone pilot and spends part of every year in the Antarctic, flying drones to image and quantify penguin and seal colonies while trying to stay warm. We’re excited to have her as part of the team and can’t wait to see what kinds of cool ways she applies her technical and Antarctic skills to coral reefs.
